Why is Drug Free Important?

Much of the livestock raised in the United States is given feed that already has antibiotics added to it. This antibiotic-added feedstuff practice is commonly known as sub-therapeutic antibiotic treatment. When livestock eat a constant diet of sub-therapeutic antibiotic added feed during their normal growth cycle, they may develop resistance to certain strains of bacteria. Our Hutterite Producers do not use sub-therapeutic antibiotics, they concentrate their efforts on raising healthy, natural animals!
