 Prairie Market & Meats began in January of 2005 with its main objective to bring locally produced products to the Sioux Falls, South Dakota market. One of our Partners, Jeff Sveen from Aberdeen, South Dakota, has been working with Hutterite Colonies for the past 25 years. Because Hutterites have such a rich agricultral hertiage and produce some of the finest products in the world, they inspired us to open the first ever retail store to showcase their products. Although the store is not owned or operated by Hutterites, all of the products we carry have to meet the highest of standards to hit our shelves.
